The 6-litre Lith-Ex fire extinguisher is a highly effective tool for combating fires fuelled by lithium-ion batteries and electrical origins. It is also proficient in extinguishing fires involving paper and wood. This extinguisher is designed to rapidly cool excessive heat and prevent re-ignition, a task that standard ABC Dry Powder and aqueous-based extinguishers cannot achieve on lithium-ion battery fires. Its compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for various environments, including homes, hotel rooms, public transport, vehicles, marine, and aviation.

Why Choose Lith-Ex?
Water is effective for Class A fires but not ideal for lithium-ion battery fires due to thermal runaway, where the battery's heat causes a self-sustaining reaction. The AVD (Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion) technology used in Lith-Ex extinguishers overcomes this limitation. AVD rapidly cools the fire, interrupts the radical chain reaction, and forms a refractory film that impedes oxygen diffusion, preventing re-ignition. Additionally, as AVD dries, it forms a thermally insulating layer, preventing fire spread to adjacent cells and isolating combustible components from the air.
Usage Instructions
-
